More About Sponsorship - Mission
The Veggie Golf is brought to you by NFA Technologies, and Greasecar Vegetable Fuel Systems. The focus of this effort is to realize a vehicle which serves:
- As an educational tool, to show the practical application of using a 100% renewable fuel (straight vegetable oil) in a modern-day, consumerly available vehicle
- As a platform on which new technology can be developed
- As a platform to determine the impacts on fuel economy, emissions, and other things, under various circumstances. These include, but are not limited to, vehicle performance upgrades, extreme temperatures, and various terrain
- To further demonstrate that such a vehicle maintains or exceeds the practicality of a conventionally fueled vehicle when reaching into the realm of high performance operation (handling, acceleration, etc.)
This is becoming a fairly high profile effort, but not an inexpensive one. We can use all the help we can get. Interested becoming a sponsor? Read on.
2003 Tour de Sol
In May, the Veggie Golf will be competing in the 2003 Tour de Sol. This event draws national attention to vehicles which reduce the use of fossil fuels such as gas and oil, or generate fewer harmful emissions.
Greasecar and NFA Technologies believes that, during the 2003 year, we can prove vegetable oil powered vehicles are the best combination of safety, renewability, and performance money can currently buy. This will involve a lot of public contact, testing, and innovation. With your help, we can do it!
What's in it for sponsors?
Individuals -
Individuals who contribute $50 or more to our effort will receive a free T-shirt. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. Send check or money order to the address on our contact page, and be sure to include your name, and shipping address.
also accepted: send payment to smcgrath@nfatech.com
Individuals can also help by spreading the word about vegetable oil as a renewable fuel. It's a long road before vegetable oil can begin making a significant impact on the way we use fuels. There are countless battles that must be fought, laws & rules that must be revised, research to be done, and general education to propagate. We need the support of individuals who understand that vegetable oil-based fuels can be used easily and effectively to reduce greenhouse gases, provide a renewable, domestic source of fuel, and strengthen the economy.
Companies/Organizations -
As previously mentioned, the efforts of Greasecar and NFA Technologies are increasingly drawing the attention of the media, as well as financially developed, forward thinking individuals. Since Justin Carven, founder of Greasecar, made a vegetable oil-powered trip across the USA in 1999, he and his vehicles have been the subject of newspapers, TV news, national shows, and magazine articles. NFA technologies also has been newsworthy (newspapers, TV) in their efforts to continue innovation in the area of vegetable oil power.
Working towards a solution to help alleviate the problems of fossil fuel use is an action commendable by many. Sponsoring these activities can be beneficial to your organization through affiliation with a positive, good-willed, and worldly conscious effort.
